In a recent Deloitte report, it indicated the health and fitness sector contributes (directly and indirectly) over $4 billion to the Australian GDP creating over 31,000 jobs nationally.
Australian's are encouragingly attending health and fitness centres and studios to remain fit and support their mental health. This industry supports a reduction in absenteeism and reduces the cost on the healthcare system. A holistic approach from a range of stakeholders such as government, industry, business and community is seen as a key to encouraging inactive individuals to become more active in a range of different exercise modes from high intensity training to restorative yin yoga. The website opens a doorway to WA's fascinating regional collections - inspiring you to hit the road and experience them for yourself. Discover the collections on your device and add things that intrigue you to an online itinerary planner, building a bespoke bucket list for your next real-life adventure. The WAnderland project, led by the WA Museum, is the culmination of two years' work and more than 10 weeks on the road. Project director Roz Lipscombe travelled with a photographer and regional writers across a third of Australia to identify and document rarely seen items from private and public collections.

A new state-of-the-art creative industries hub at the Central Regional TAFE Geraldton campus has been officially opened by state Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery. The project is the latest to be completed as part of the state government's TAFE infrastructure upgrades. Budding artists, fashion designers and media specialists from across the Mid-West region are now learning at the dynamic creative industries hub, where Central Regional TAFE will deliver its creative industries, visual arts and multimedia training programs. The TAFE's ageing visual arts building has been extended, refurbished and had its roof replaced. It now includes modern art studios, workshops, classrooms and a technology centre. The new facility will be used to deliver training for fashion and textiles, multimedia, photography, graphic design, jewellery making, pottery and glass-making, ensuring students are learning in industry-standard facilities so they graduate job-ready.

The WA Creative Technology Innovation Hub will operate in collaboration with the State Government, Edith Cowan University, City of Bunbury and industry to stimulate and grow Western Australia's emerging creative and immersive technology industry.
